Project 01
Childcare Center
On-Campus Design - Revit - Photoshop - Research - Renderings
Our task for this project was to design a better and more efficient Wellness Center for the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point campus. We were given instructions to either use the buildings that were being used for the specific areas of wellness (Multi-Activity Center and Delzell Hall) or construct a new building within the specific lot by parking lot Q.
For this project, Megan Labbs and I choose to use the specified space next to parking lot Q. Our main focus for this project was to construct a childcare center where students of UW-Stevens Point could take their children as well as the community of Stevens Point. Throughout our research, we discovered a significantly high need within universities and within communities surrounding universities. With cost, location, and quality being the top three priorities we wanted the students and general public to enjoy all the center has to offer with hands-on learning, There are multiple different activities for children to excel in their learning career through gardening, time on the playground, and indoor play for different age groups to ensure safety and engagement with activities.
